On December 27, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held a press conference to announce the cultural and sports program "Welcome New Year 2025". The program includes the music event "Herbalife Countdown Party 2025 - Live the moment" and the Vietnam International Half Marathon 2025 (VIHM 2025).
Events will be held from 9pm on December 31, 2024 to 8am on January 1, 2025.
At the ceremony, Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports shared: "As usual, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi plans to organize events in the capital every New Year. This is an opportunity not only for Hanoi people but also for people in neighboring provinces to enjoy the moments of welcoming the New Year and looking forward to new things".
Regarding the 2025 Vietnam International Half Marathon, this is the third year the tournament has been held with the license and supervision of the Asian Athletics Federation and the participation of about 5,000 athletes.
This year, the tournament still has 3 distances: half marathon (21.0975km), 10km and 5km. The appearance of national athletes such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Luong Duc Phuoc, Le Thi Tuyet, Bui Thi Thu Ha... promises to bring an exciting competition in the advanced category.
The VIHM 2025 race route passes through famous historical sites and beautiful streets of Hanoi in Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung districts and the finish line in front of Thong Nhat Park on Tran Nhan Tong Street.
In addition, the tournament also has a Sport Family category and a team prize with attractive prize structures. The team prize is for families (2 members including father and child or mother and child). The members run together around Thien Quang Lake and must hold hands to reach the finish line.
Meanwhile, the art program "Welcome the New Year 2025" with the theme "Live the moment" is not just a regular music event, but a moment for the community to connect and welcome a promising new chapter.
The event gathered a series of famous artists such as HIEUTHUHAI, Minh Hang, Amee, Phuong Ly, Duong Eward, Vu Phung Tien, Coolkid... The stage was elaborately staged with a top-notch lighting and sound system, bringing an explosive artistic party.
