The Ancestor's Death Anniversary was organized by the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, the People's Committee of Tan Uyen city and the Tan Khanh Ba Tra martial arts sect.
During the ceremony, Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, and delegates burned incense and commemorated the founders and developers of the sect.
Tan Khanh Ba Tra martial arts is one of the traditional martial arts schools of Vietnam, with a long history closely linked to the development of Tan Khanh and Ba Tra. This school is not only the pride of Binh Duong people but also recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2021. This is a great honor for the school, as there are only two traditional martial arts schools recognized in the whole country.
During the ceremony, Mr. Ly Ngoc Phong - Vice Chairman of Tan Uyen City People's Committee, expressed his wish to organize larger martial arts events, such as Binh Duong Traditional Martial Arts Festival or Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts International Festival. Dr., Martial Arts Master Ho Tuong - Head of Tan Khanh Ba Tra Martial Arts School, also expressed his gratitude for the attention of provincial and city leaders to the school.
The Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony is not only an occasion to commemorate the ancestors but also an opportunity to connect the martial arts community, promote the intangible cultural heritage of Binh Duong, and promote the development of the discipline in the context of integration and development. The ceremony also included many rich activities, such as martial arts performances, human chess and giving souvenirs to individuals and organizations that contributed.
