On August 21, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club officially introduced striker Raphael Schorr Utzig, a rookie with dual German and Brazilian nationality.

According to Transfermarkt, Raphael Schorr Utzig is valued at 850,000 euros (equivalent to more than 25 billion VND). This is the second most valuable contract of Ho Chi Minh City Police, after center back Matheus Felipe (Brazil, 1 million euros). With this valuation, Utzig is also in the group of 5 most expensive foreign players in V.League this season.

Raphael Schorr Utzig was born in 1996. Before coming to Vietnam, Utzig played for many clubs in Brazil and Asia such as FK Gabala, Zira (Azerbaijan) or Chungnam Asan (Korea). The 1m77 tall striker is good at being a left winger but can flexibly play on the right wing or play as a striker, promising to bring more options to coach Le Huynh Duc in the near future.

Currently, the police team has 4 foreign players, including center back Matheus Felipe and 3 strikers Endrick Santos, Mbo Noel and Raphael Schorrzig Ut. Having only trained with the team since August 20, Utzig's ability to integrate is still a question mark, but the coaching staff expects him to adapt soon to promote efficiency.

In the opening round, Ho Chi Minh City Police made an impression when defeating the defending runner-up Hanoi 2-1, thereby temporarily ranking 3rd on the rankings.

Ho Chi Minh City Police's next opponent is The Cong - Viettel, the team currently in 7th place after a 1-1 draw with Hanoi Police.
