Vietnam men's volleyball team trains in Ho Chi Minh City

The Vietnamese men's volleyball hitters will prepare professionally before competing in the 33rd SEA Games in Ho Chi Minh City.

Today, December 1, the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team moved to Ho Chi Minh City to continue professional training to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

The team has completed the training session at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports in the past.

Training program in Ho Chi Minh City for the whole team to practice their skills most thoroughly before going to Thailand. According to the plan, the Men's Volleyball Team will participate in the 33rd SEA Games on December 11.

Head coach Tran Dinh Tien and the coaching staff have selected 14 official players to compete in the 33rd SEA Games, including: Dinh Van Duy, Pham Van Hiep, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Tran Duy Tuyen, Truong The Khai, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Trinh Duy Phuc, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Phan Cong Duc, Cao Duc Hoang, Duong Van Tien, Quan Trong Nghia, Huynh Trung Truc and Pham Quoc Du. In which, Quan Trong Nghia was the captain.

The Vietnam men's volleyball team will go to Thailand from the southern region without returning to Hanoi. Thus, at present, both the men's and women's volleyball teams are practicing in the Southern region.

The achievement target for the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team at the 33rd SEA Games is to strive for medals. We won the bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games held in 2023 in Cambodia. In early 2025, the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team participated in international tournaments including the AVC Champions League, AVC Nations Cup and SEA V.League.
