Towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), Quang Tri Provincial Police will develop a plan to organize a Marathon with the theme "80 years of Quang Tri Police - Impressive a Congress".
The tournament is scheduled to take place on the morning of August 31, 2025 at Bao Ninh Sea Square, Dong Hoi Ward. This is a large-scale sporting event, expected to attract more than 1,000 athletes who are police officers of units, MobiFone officers of Quang Tri - Quang Binh and a large number of people inside and outside the province.
Currently, preparations are being urgently deployed. The Organizing Committee is accepting online registration until August 10, 2025. Each athlete can choose 1 of 3 distances: 3km for leaders, 5km and 10km for officers, soldiers and freestyle athletes.
The tournament not only creates an exciting competitive atmosphere but also spreads the spirit of sports training following Uncle Ho's example, contributing to strengthening health, will and connection between the police force and the people.
The competition events will comply with the current Athletics Law and specific regulations of the Organizing Committee. The prize structure includes 1 First prize (2 million VND), 2 Second prizes (1 million VND) and 3 Third prizes (500 thousand VND) for each male and female event.
The race promises to be a highlight activity on the occasion of major holidays, while contributing to building the image of a healthy, close, friendly and responsible Quang Tri police officer to the community.
