On the afternoon of May 29, Hue City Police organized an information session on the "Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival of the People's Police in 2026 Zone 2 - Group stage" in Hue City.
The sports festival takes place from June 4 - 11 with the participation of 16 military, martial arts teams and 18 sports teams, gathering nearly 3,000 athletes, referees and service forces.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's sports festival has many new points compared to previous editions, adding highly practical contents such as overcoming obstacles, stick fighting, night shooting... to improve physical strength and combat skills for officers and soldiers of the People's Police.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8:10 PM on June 6th, at Ngo Mon Square, Hue City with many special performances such as military music, martial arts, khí công - công phá, motorcycle and cavalry performances, professional situation handling, fire prevention and fighting, rescue...
In particular, on the opening night, there will be a 10-minute low-altitude fireworks display serving people and tourists.
Military, martial arts and sports competitions will be held at many locations in Hue City such as the Labor Culture House, Regiment 6 Firing Range, Armored Battalion 3, Green Stadium and Pickleball Louis, Arena complex.
According to Hue City Police, the sports festival is organized to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Forces (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2026), contributing to spreading the image of the People's Police soldier "for the country, forgetting himself, serving the people".
