The qualifying round of the 2025 National Youth Football Tournament (U13) and Children's Football Tournament (U11) in Hai Phong was co-organized by the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Tien Dong and Children's Newspaper and the Vietnam Football Federation.
The Children's Football Tournament (U11) brings together 440 athletes from 22 teams, including Bac Kan, Blue Sky, Hanoi, Hanoi Police, Gia Bao Hai Duong, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, H.Y.S Hanoi Club, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Hanoi Football Federation and Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Phu Dong Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, divided into 4 round-robin groups.
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi Hoang Mai said that the Children's Football League (U11) is a tournament of the national competition system organized by the Vietnam Football Federation since 1997 to the present. The tournament always receives the attention of leaders as well as people across the country and especially children. The tournament creates a healthy playground for children to develop the football movement in teenagers and children, based on which to detect and foster football gifted preschools for the country.
In order to successfully organize the National Football Tournament (U11) nationwide in 2025 in Hai Phong, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires relevant units and members of the Organizing Committee to coordinate closely, organize thoughtfully, ensure safety, create favorable conditions to solve the highest results; The referees run the exact and objective prize; The athletes play hard, strictly implement the laws, rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee.
On the same evening, the Youth Tournament (U13) opened at Lach Tray Stadium (No. 17 Lach Tray, Ngo Quyen).
