The 2025 Ooc Om Boc - Ngo Boat Race Festival in Soc Trang province is expected to be held for 3 days from November 3 to 5. The venue is at Bach Dang Square, 30/4 Park, Ngo boat racing stand, On the Maspero river, between C247 bridge (Quy bridge) and 30/4 bridge (Cao bridge), Urban Area 5A (Soc Trang city).
Activities include the Opening of the Festival, Ngo Boat Race, Organizing the Moon Worship Ceremony, releasing Water Lanterns and Ca Hau Boats, Trade Promotion Fair for OCOP products and regional specialties - Soc Trang in 2025, Mass Art Festival and performance of traditional Chinese costumes in Soc Trang province, Art Photo Exhibition, The 7th "Soc Trang Flavors" Street Food Festival in 2025.
In which, the Ngo Boat Race will be held for 2 days (November 4-5, 2025). It is expected that about 50 Ngo boat teams for men and women inside and outside the province will participate.
According to the Organizing Committee of the Ooc Om Boc - Ngo Boat Race Festival in Soc Trang province in 2025, the festival is organized on a provincial scale, so the activities will be arranged in accordance with local socio-economic conditions, while preserving the traditional cultural characteristics of the Khmer people in Soc Trang.
In 2024, the Soc Trang Ngo boat race gathered 60 teams with nearly 7,200 athletes, coaches and staff from Soc Trang and the provinces of Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Can Tho city... competing in two distances of 1,200m (men) and 1,000m (women). The tournament attracted about 200,000 people to watch and cheer, an increase of 30% compared to 2023.
