The National Super Cup - THACO Cup 2025-2026 is a competition between the V.League champion team 2025-2026 (Hanoi Police) and the National Cup champion team 2025-2026 (Ho Chi Minh City Police)
This is also the opening match of the new season of Vietnamese professional football after the Vietnamese team successfully defended the ASEAN Cup 2026 championship.
According to regulations, the two teams play for 90 minutes. If there is no draw, the Super Cup winning team will be decided by a penalty shootout (no extra time). The match also applies VAR technology with the direction of FIFA Vietnam referees.
The winning team will receive a new version gold cup, badge, medal and 300 million VND prize money. The runner-up team will receive 200 million VND. In addition, the player who scores the first goal and the best player of the match will also receive 10 million VND.
The 2025-2026 National Super Cup match between Hanoi Police and Ho Chi Minh City Police takes place at 6:00 PM on August 30th at Hang Day Stadium.
