On March 17, the runners participating in the 6th phase of the Binh Duong International Women's Cycling Tournament - Biwase Cup 2025, with a route of 115km from La Gi town (Binh Thuan) to Vung Tau city (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), finished in the Front Beach area, with dramatic developments.
Right after the start signal, Thach Thi Ngoc Thao (Dong Thap XSKT team) suddenly accelerated, creating a leading group of 7 athletes with many international curls, creating a nearly 2-minute gap with the back group.
However, when they were about 30 km away from the finish line, the Con Voi Binh Duong Fertilizer team in coordination with the Loc Troi An Giang team stretched their formation and caught up with the first group, creating the premise for a fierce sprint in Vung Tau City.
Near the finish line, Asian champion Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand proactively opened the water to recede early, but Nguyen Thi That (An Giang Golden Lotus team) made a spectacular acceleration, surpassing her opponent to win stage 6.
This result helped Nguyen Thi That keep the green shirt in the 6th stage.
Natalia Frolova (Biwase Binh Duong team) continues to wear the overall yellow jersey (after 6 stages); Kasuga Watabe (Con Voi Fertilizer team) continues to wear the white jersey after 6 stages.
According to the plan, on the morning of March 18, the runners will enter the final leg of the 120km long from Vung Tau City to Thu Dau Mot City (Binh Duong) of the Binh Duong International Women's Cycling Tournament - Biwase Cup 2025.
