On October 15, at Phu Tho Province Sports and Physical Training and Competition Center, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province to organize the opening ceremony of the 11th National Center and Senior Fighter Cup, Traphaco Cup in 2025.
The 11th National Mid- and Senior players' flag Award took place from October 15-17 with the participation of 120 outstanding players from 9 units across the country.
The players competed in individual and team events, men's and women's, divided into 4 age groups from 40 - 50 years old; from 51 - 60 years old; from 61 - 70 years old and from 71 years old and above.
The time for a game is 30 minutes for 1 player, 60 minutes for 2 players; after finishing the water, the athletes press their own clock.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province affirmed that the 11th National Mid-Age Flag Award of the Traphaco Cup in 2025 is a meaningful event to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons on October 1 and implement the "month of Action for the Elderly in Vietnam".
Through the tournament, it aims to create a useful playground to help middle-aged and elderly people practice clear intelligence, improve physical health, create a positive spirit of life and enhance solidarity and affection, contributing to promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
This is also an opportunity for units to exchange, learn about traditional culture, connect sports with tourism, promote the image of the homeland to friends across the country, contributing to promoting the movement of practicing the General Flag for the middle and elderly nationwide.
Right after the opening ceremony, the players entered exciting and dramatic matches.
