The establishment of VDEN is a strategic step to connect Vietnamese data experts globally, contributing to the process of building an autonomous digital economy, innovation and international integration.
According to the National Data Association, in the context of data becoming a strategic resource, the formation of a network of experts is urgent to provide policy advice, promote connectivity between the State - businesses - independent research institutes - experts, towards sustainable development of the data economy in Vietnam.
VDEN Network is built according to 5 principles: Voluntary cooperation - transparency of responsibility - science and innovation - confidentiality and compliance with the law - global connectivity, promoting Vietnamese identity. To date, nearly 80 experts from many countries such as the US, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia... have registered to participate.
Within the framework of the event, an international conference with the theme " Data science and data economy - Global innovation driving force" also took place with 4 thematic sessions revolving around the key contents: Data and AI application, data policies and infrastructure, technology human resource development and investment strategies for data economy.
The workshop gathered nearly 20 experts, scientists, technology entrepreneurs who are members of the Association, living and working in many countries such as France, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Belgium... to bring practical sharing and suggest solutions for developing the data economy in Vietnam.
