Having joined the Vietnamese market since 1995, Cargill has committed to building and handing over 100 school projects by 2020.
After realizing the initial commitment, the company set a higher target of 150 schools for Vietnam by 2030. To date, Cargill has completed 121 schools, serving more than 18,000 students/year in 57 provinces and cities.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Luan, Head Representative of Cargill Group in Vietnam, said: Celebrating the 30th anniversary of its establishment and operation in Vietnam for us is not only an opportunity to recall and appreciate the past, but also to aim to preserve and create a stronger future. Through community programs such as building schools through the Cargill Cares Fund, we are investing in the next generation, helping communities develop strongly, and contributing to nurturing the world in a safe, responsible and sustainable way.
Cargill's commitment to Vietnam through the school construction charity program is a testament to the sustainable trust we have built in rural communities."
