Hai Phong Border Guard disseminates laws on seas and islands to students

Hai Phong - More than 500 teachers and students in Hung Thang, Hai Phong City were informed by the Border Guard about the law on islands and security at sea.

On the afternoon of November 7, at the Hung Thang Commune Cultural House, the Border Guard Command (BDBP) of Hai Phong City coordinated with the People's Committee of Hung Thang Commune to organize a conference to disseminate the law on Vietnam's sea and islands and Gender Equality for staff, teachers and students of Hung Thang High School.

The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huy, Chairman of Hung Thang Commune People's Committee; Lieutenant Colonel Pham Ngoc Binh, Deputy Head of the City Border Guard's Political Department; representatives of the leaders of the Department of Social Culture, the Public Career Center, departments, branches, and organizations of Hung Thang Commune; representatives of the commanders, officers, and soldiers of Vinh Quang Border Guard Station and more than 500 officers, teachers, and students of Hung Thang High School.

At the conference, reporters from the City Border Guard informed about the location and strategic role of seas and islands in the cause of socio-economic development and national defense and security of the country. Introduce legal bases and historical evidence to affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa, Truong Sa and coastal areas under international law; propagate the Law on Border Guard of Vietnam and the responsibility of citizens, especially the younger generation, in protecting the security of the maritime border.

In addition, students are also informed of the basic contents of the Law on Gender Equality and regulations on the rights and obligations of citizens. Analyze violations of school violence, child abuse and gender-related issues, in order to build a healthy and safe school environment.

At the City Border Guard Command Conference, over 1,500 leaflets and footage were distributed to propagate all kinds of issues about the sea, islands, gender equality and the Border Guard Law of Vietnam.

This is a meaningful activity, part of a series of activities in response to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on November 9, to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of the young generation in protecting national sovereignty and building a civilized and equal society. Through a vivid and intuitive form of propaganda, the talk attracted the attention and active interaction of students. The program not only adds legal knowledge but also arouses patriotism, national pride and citizens' responsibility in building and defending the Fatherland.
