Established in 1975, the Faculty of Electricity is one of the first four faculties of the University of Da Nang, now the University of Science and Technology - University of Da Nang. After 50 years of construction and development, the Faculty has continuously grown, becoming one of the leading training and research units in the country in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation. During 50 years of formation and development, the Faculty has trained more than 15,000 engineers, nearly 1,000 masters and 20 doctors.

Currently, the Faculty has 33 doctoral-level lecturers, including 1 Professor, 8 Associate professors; enrolling more than 400 full-time university students each year, along with dozens of graduate and doctoral students. The training program of the Faculty has met the international accreditation standards of AUN-QA, ASIIN; scientific research and technology transfer activities have achieved many outstanding results, making practical contributions to the socio-economic development of the region and the whole country.
In the coming period, the Faculty is determined to continue improving the training program according to international standards, promoting research in key areas such as renewable energy, smart grid, AI, IoT; enhancing international cooperation with businesses; investing in facilities, towards sustainable development in the digital transformation era.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Tien Dung - Vice Principal of the University of Technology - University of Da Nang said that not only stopping at training, the Faculty of Electricity is always a leader in academic activities and quality development.
This is the first department of the University to participate in quality accreditation according to international standards AUN-QA and ASIIN - the leading strict standards in the ASEAN and European regions.
Achieving these certificates not only demonstrates the determination of the Faculty in innovation and international integration, but also contributes to raising the position of the University of Science and Technology on the map of regional higher education.
In addition, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering is also a pioneer in developing business cooperation and international cooperation. Many research topics, technology transfer with large companies, corporations, universities, and research institutes at home and abroad have been effectively implemented.
From those cooperative relationships, the Faculty has had the opportunity to access new technology, improve lecturer qualifications, improve training program content and expand job opportunities for students.
