On the morning of July 5, in Da Nang, the University of Technology - University of Da Nang held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment and inauguration of the National Key Experimental Department using the joint Electronic and Application Machinery.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training (MOET) Hoang Minh Son highly appreciated the school's contributions over the past half century, the school has provided more than 80,000 engineers, bachelors, masters, and doctors to society, and is a leading center for training and research in technology and engineering in the region and the country.
In the era of digital transformation and the 4.0 industrial revolution, the School needs to promote innovation, expand international cooperation, develop staff and invest in infrastructure to become an advanced research university, making a practical contribution to the sustainable development of the country.
"I believe that the University of Science and Technology - University of Da Nang has enough capacity and foundation to go further. Increase the quantity and quality of international publications, promote the formation of strong research groups, aiming to become an advanced research university.
Continue to build a model of innovative universities associated with the Central - Central Highlands dynamic region so that the school becomes a center of knowledge to promote regional linkages, providing scientific and technological solutions for key industries such as industry, renewable energy, digital technology, environment, smart cities...", the Deputy Minister of Education and Training emphasized.
Established right after the country's reunification day (1975), the University of Science and Technology - University of Da Nang has started with only 329 students and 4 faculties, now the University has nearly 18,000 students, 407 lecturers (74.4%) and 26 training programs that have passed international accreditation. The rate of students with jobs after graduation is over 97%.
Over the past 5 years, the school has opened 11 new university programs in key fields such as: Artificial Intelligence, Aviation Mechanics, microelectronics - microchip Design, Logistics, High-speed Railway... along with 1 master's program and 1 new doctoral program.

Inauguration of the National Key Experimental Department using the same electronic and application
On May 7, within the framework of the 50th Anniversary of its establishment, the University of Technology - University of Da Nang held the Inauguration Ceremony of the National Key Experimental Department using the Joint Electromechanical and Application.
The project will be implemented from 2023 to 2025, with a total investment of 40 billion VND. The investment content includes purchasing and synchronously installing experimental equipment in the field of Electromechanical and Application; renovating and fundamentally repairing the laboratory before installation.
The lab includes many specialized subdivisions: PTN Robots, PTN IoTs, PTN Materials Science, Concept, Simulation Design... This is a space for innovation, connecting technology, expected to be put into operation to serve students from the 2025-2026 school year, contributing to improving the quality of new-generation engineering training.
