On the morning of June 22, Jiuzhaigou coordinated with the Department of Health of Binh Phuoc province and the Department of Health of Binh Duong province to organize a conference to train human resources for the health sector of Binh Phuoc and neighboring areas, in person and online.
The conference was attended by leaders of the health sector of the two provinces, nearly 200 delegates who are scientists and health workers in the region. Mekong University sent a delegation of leaders and lecturers in the field of health sciences to attend.
In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Principal of Mekong University - introduced an overview of the training capacity of the health sector: 9 university majors, 3 level 1 majors, along with a system of facilities and a strong investment in lecturers.
He affirmed that this is the school's spearhead area, aiming to serve the needs of quality human resources for localities.
The conference received many comments from experts on the current status of training, orientation for developing local medical human resources, development strategies for grassroots health, preventive medicine, digital transformation of the medical sector, etc.

Director of the Department of Health of Binh Phuoc province - Dr. Do Thi Nguyen - proposed 3 groups of solutions: Attracting, treating and training human resources; Developing facilities and infrastructure; Improving the quality of grassroots health care.
Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Health - Dr. Huynh Minh Chin - proposed 4 groups of solutions including: recruitment, organization of the apparatus, high-quality training, policy completion.
The conference is an opportunity for the parties to assess the current situation, share experiences and propose solutions to develop medical human resources suitable to the conditions of each locality, aiming to improve the quality of people's health care.
