The University of Law, Hue University is an institution for training undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees; conducting scientific and technological activities, serving the community in the field of law; providing high-quality human resources, scientific and technological products, and legal policy consulting to meet the development needs of the country and the region.
The general goal is to build the University of Law, Hue University into a specialized law training school, combining research with practice; training high-quality legal human resources, meeting the needs of the Central region, the Central Highlands and the whole country; comprehensively strengthening in the direction of standardizing and modernizing training programs, staff, teaching facilities and techniques; management system; achieving standards to ensure the quality of university education; implementing a synchronous roadmap of solutions to exercise autonomy and self-responsibility, which is the decisive step, comprehensively innovating, and improving the quality of education and training.
Vision to 2030: To become a comprehensive autonomous university, taking financial autonomy as a premise; promoting all resources and traditional values, core values in training, science and technology, community service, quality culture; affirming the brand in the top law training in Vietnam, having influence in the region.
The University of Law, Hue University, formerly the Faculty of Law of Hue University, was established in 1957. The school's development went through four stages:
From 1990 - 2000: Department of Law, Hue University
From 2000 - 2009: Faculty of Law, University of Sciences, Hue University
From 2009 - 2014: Faculty of Law, Hue University
From March 3, 2015 to present: University of Law, Hue University (according to Decision 274/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister)
Currently, the University of Law has 6 functional departments, 5 affiliated faculties, and 3 centers. The school is currently organizing training in 2 undergraduate programs, 1 master's program, and 1 doctoral program, specifically:
University level training: Law, majors: Administrative Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Economic Law, International Law; Economic Law
Postgraduate training: Master of Economic Law; Master of Theory and History of State and Law; Doctor of Economic Law
