Dak Lak arranges schools and classrooms, not allowing distance to obstruct students from going to class

Dak Lak - Along with streamlining the apparatus, the provincial education sector is actively preparing facilities and human resources to welcome students into the new school year.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, the locality plans to reduce 646/1,267 public educational institutions, equivalent to about 51% of the number of focal points, before the 2026-2027 school year.

However, the plan also sets a goal to ensure that each commune has at least one preschool education institution and one general education institution.

Before the new school year, Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Ea O commune, Dak Lak province) is completing the conditions for facilities and teaching staff to welcome students.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, the school principal, said that in the 2026-2027 school year, the school is assigned to enroll 315 students into grade 10, with 7 first grades.

According to Mr. Dung, the school's facilities and teaching staff basically meet the requirements of teaching and learning. The whole school has 40 teachers, arranged according to subjects, ensuring professional activities in the new school year.

Notably, ethnic minority students account for about 42% of the total number of students in the whole school. This is a characteristic of the student structure, and at the same time sets out the requirement for the school to continue to care for and support students with different learning circumstances and conditions to maintain their studies and improve the quality of education.

Currently, Dak Lak province has 574,993 high school students. In the 2026-2027 school year, the education sector proposes to prioritize ensuring textbooks for 197,293 students, accounting for about 34.31% of the total number of high school students in the province.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Director of Dak Lak Department of Education and Training said that the arrangement and streamlining of the education sector apparatus is being actively implemented, striving to complete soon.

The education sector is also completing the school year plan to implement it synchronously, ensuring that it does not affect teaching and learning activities.

Teachers in remote and isolated areas will also be fully reviewed and supplemented to limit the impact on the quality of education.

Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van emphasized that the arrangement of public preschool, general education, continuing education and vocational education institutions at the provincial and commune levels is an important task, directly affecting students, teachers, staff and families.

In particular, the arrangement must ensure the right to study and access to quality education for all students. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for children to go to school, without creating geographical barriers and travel costs.
