The Dien Bien Education Complex project in Dien Bien Phu ward, approved with the land area for project implementation having an area of 10.57 ha. In which, mainly land specializing in growing wet rice, accounting for 97.08% of the area (equivalent to 10.27 ha).
The project aims to form a multi-level education complex, including: general education (from elementary to high school), vocational education (primary, intermediate, college) and university education.
The project has a scale of receiving over 6,000 students/year and the project's labor force is about nearly 500 lecturers, teachers and staff.
In which, general education has the largest scale with over 3,000 students/year. Higher education is about 2,000 students/year. Vocational education is over 700 students/year.
The preliminary total investment capital of the project is over 648 billion VND, not including land use fees and land rent. According to reporters' investigation, this educational complex is currently being proposed for investment by FPT Corporation.
According to Decision No. 421, dated March 12, 2026 of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, the project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation within 5 years.
However, to suit the actual situation, recently, the Provincial People's Committee continued to issue Decision No. 771 to adjust project information.
According to the decision, the progress of implementing the main operating objectives of the project is adjusted to 8 years from the date of land allocation and land lease by the State.
In which, phase 1 (first 2 years), focusing on completing legal procedures, issuing construction permits and constructing 1 block of inter-level general education lecture halls; 1 block of lecture halls serving university, college, vocational training; 1 dormitory block.
At the same time, complete the multi-purpose service building, sports area, landscape and technical infrastructure to soon put phase 1 into operation.
Phase 2 (3 years) continues to build 1 more multi-level general education lecture hall building and 1 university, college, and vocational training lecture hall building. Items such as sports fields, guard houses, parking lots, and accompanying technical infrastructure will also be completed to put phase 2 into operation.
Phase 3 (3 years) completes the entire project with the construction of 1 university lecture hall block, 1 dormitory block along with event square, landscape and final technical infrastructure.
