On the afternoon of June 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, the announcement ceremony of the CJ Short Film Project 2025 took place with film funding support of up to 1.5 billion VND for the 5 best short film projects.
The support of the Appraisal Council includes director Phan Dang Di, director Charlie Nguyen, producer Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, director Trinh Dinh Le Minh and director Tran Thanh Huy promising to bring valuable professional support to young filmmakers.
The extremely special new point of this year's program is the appearance of accompanying advisor (Alumni Mentor) as director Pham Ngoc Lan - who will play the role of giving comments, guiding and supporting the top 5 contestants in the short film submission period to prestigious international film festivals.
The CJ short film project season 6 marks the promising return of the competition to nurture Vietnam's leading film talent.
At the event, the organizing committee and the evaluation council spent time interacting, listening and answering many questions from young people interested in this year's competition. This is an opportunity for potential candidates to consolidate their information, confidently complete their registration documents and realize their filmmaking ideas.
Over the years, the CJ Short Film Project has continuously expanded its comprehensive support with the goal of creating the most favorable conditions for young filmmakers to have the opportunity to make their short films. With the theme " Expanding the framework, reaching out brilliantly", the program hopes to motivate the new generation of directors to confidently pursue a creative path.
The CJ short film project targets participants who are Vietnamese citizens from 18 to 40 years old, especially young people who are passionate about making films and are looking for opportunities to turn script ideas into complete films. After the admission round, the 10 best candidates will enter the presentation round, scheduled to take place on August 6, 2025.
