On March 23, the "March Star" award ceremony in 2026 took place at the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda. After a rigorous selection process, 12 outstanding students were honored in 4 fields: Youth Union work; activities - social work; study - scientific research and culture - arts, physical education - sports. Behind each title is a journey of persistent effort, nurtured from study, movement activities to practical contributions to the community.
Spreading value from personal stories
As a third-year student majoring in Mass Communications, Truong Minh Thu started her journey from the first year when she joined the Academy's Youth Union Office. From the initial jobs, Minh Thu gradually accumulated experience, expanding her role in the activities of the Union of Journalists and Communications Institute as well as the club's programs.
Looking back at the past journey, Minh Thu said that what makes her proud is not only the achievements she has achieved, but also the positive values spread from the activities she participates in.
The moment that makes me most proud is when I see the media publications that I implement or the events I contribute to organize bring meaning and joy to everyone" - Thu shared.

Not only active in movement activities, Minh Thu also participates in community-oriented projects. Among them are projects to support job opportunities for people with disabilities, or plans to bring Vietnamese folk songs closer to young people that Thu is nurturing.
One of the most memorable memories for Minh Thu is the volunteer trip to Tuyen Quang with the Youth Union branch. Here, Thu received a small gift from a baby, carefully wrapped in a nylon bag as a simple thank you. "Those experiences have contributed to creating the present and become a motivation for me to continue contributing to the community" - Thu shared.
It was from those experiences and persistent efforts that contributed to Truong Minh Thu's journey of maturity, and at the same time brought the female student to the title "March Star" in 2026.
Recognizing efforts in many fields
Each student honored at the "March Star" award carries a personal story about their journey of effort and growth.
For Tran Le Ngoc Han - a student majoring in Television Journalism at K42, the title "March Star" is the result of a journey of persistent striving. This is not only a worthy recognition for her unremitting efforts, but also a memorable milestone in her own journey of maturity.

Dr. Phan Hoang Quynh - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda emphasized the meaning of the award in contributing to building an increasingly vibrant youth movement and increasing social attention to education, training and fostering the young generation.
Today's typical faces are clear proof of the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness in Youth Union work and youth movements in the past school year. I hope you will continue to promote the spirit of pioneering, creativity and responsibility. At the same time, they will be a source of inspiration for the next generations of Youth Union members" - Dr. Phan Hoang Quynh emphasized.
The award not only stops at honoring outstanding individuals, but also contributes to affirming the role of students in learning, researching and serving the community, thereby contributing to building an increasingly vibrant youth movement.
The "March Star" Award 2026 is organized by the Youth Union Branch of the Institute of Journalism and Communication (Academy of Journalism and Propaganda), towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), to recognize and honor individuals with outstanding achievements in study, scientific research, Youth Union work and social activities.
