Lang Son students are oriented to start a business from high school

Lang Son - Seminar at Cao Loc High School helps students access early entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and career orientation.

On the afternoon of April 9, at Cao Loc High School, the Lang Son Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Vietnam National University of Agriculture organized a workshop "Journey of Startup and Innovation from High School", to inspire high school students in the province to establish themselves and start a career.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Phan My Hanh - Deputy Director of Lang Son Department of Education and Training said that in the context of the country increasingly demanding the quality of human resources, innovation and competitiveness, education cannot just stop at imparting knowledge but needs to arouse creative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability for students from an early age.

Leaders of Lang Son Department of Education and Training assessed that the province has a lot of development potential in the fields of border gate economy, cross-border logistics, specialty agriculture associated with high technology, ecotourism and culture.

Therefore, bringing the spirit of entrepreneurship into high schools is no longer an option but has become a strategic requirement.

The conference took place with main contents such as human resource needs in the context of digital transformation and STEM education orientation; startup activities of students of Vietnam National University of Agriculture; launching a science and technology ideas and startup competition for high school students in 2026; sharing skills to conquer scholarships to study abroad.

The highlight of the program is the direct exchange between representatives of the education sector, universities, experts and students.

Sharing on the sidelines of the workshop, Hoang Thi Thu Huyen, a 12A12 student at Cao Loc High School, said that the program has helped them have a clearer orientation about their future careers.

The female student said she is particularly interested in the agricultural sector, because this is an industry suitable for the actual conditions of Lang Son and many localities today.

He also expressed his wish that after completing his studies, he would have the opportunity to return to his hometown, contributing his youth and knowledge to the development of the locality.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Tiep, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, assessed that the contents shared at the conference showed that it is necessary to ignite the spirit of entrepreneurship from high school, especially in the context of the country promoting the development of science, technology, innovation and high-quality human resources.

He believes that for a border province with great potential like Lang Son, building a dynamic, creative young generation with aspirations to establish themselves and start a career is not only a short-term requirement but also a long-term driving force for sustainable development.

According to leaders of the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, students today can become a force that effectively exploits the potential of the locality in the future, from border gate economy, high-tech agriculture to ecotourism and modern services.

He affirmed that the Academy will continue to accompany Lang Son students through training, research and startup support programs associated with practice.
