In 2008, Bai Bon Primary and Secondary School was separated from Ham Ninh Primary and Secondary School. After 16 years of establishment and development with many difficulties, the school is still steadfast in its career of educating people.
Previously, the road to this school had not been built, it was mainly muddy red dirt road, the school's facilities were still lacking. There was no electricity, the road was very difficult to travel, there was only a small, muddy red dirt road. The teachers here mainly traveled by sea, by boat, by canoe to school.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the school - said: When it was first established, the school lacked both teachers and facilities. With the attention of leaders at all levels and local authorities, the school's staff and teachers have strived, trained, improved their pedagogical skills, comprehensively innovated the facilities, and encouraged students to attend classes to maintain stable student numbers.
Ms. Huong shared: “When faced with difficulties, school leaders build a leadership strategy with actions and determination. Firstly, create motivation and opportunities for teachers to innovate and be creative in the teaching process; secondly, create a friendly and dynamic learning environment for students, coordinate with the community and parents to educate students; thirdly, school leaders must be steadfast and proactive in solving the school's difficult problems.”
Up to now, the government has invested in building roads, making it convenient for teachers, students and people to travel and trade. Facilities and equipment serving the teaching and learning activities of the school have been gradually invested in and purchased. The school currently has 445 students, 19 classrooms, 33 staff and teachers, including 1 separate location.
Ms. Trinh Thi Kieu Trang - a teacher at the school - shared: "The collective of teachers have encouraged each other to overcome difficulties, with a spirit of love for the profession, responsibility and love for generations of students to be able to successfully complete teaching and learning tasks over the past years."
Along with investing in facilities for teaching and learning, the school always promotes studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, along with training each teacher to be an example of self-study and creativity. Every year, 100% of the school's students are promoted to the next grade, with no students having poor academic performance. Many teachers have achieved the title of excellent teachers at all levels.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong also added: In the coming time, to improve the quality of teaching and learning towards building a national standard school, the school leaders will continue to train and improve the professional capacity of teachers, enhance the coordination role between the school, family and community to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Create an internal solidarity for the school community and aim to implement the criteria for building a national standard school in the 2024-2025 school year.
