The event is part of cultural cooperation between the two countries, following the success of the first translation launch ceremony in December 2024.
At the ceremony, NXBGDVN announced plans to release a complete set of 12 Papelucho books in the coming time - one of the typical works of Chilean children's literature.

The book series is published by NXBGDVN and published by Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company.
The project not only contributes to spreading the reading culture, but also affirms the pioneering role of NXBGDVN in integrating international publishing trends, bringing young Vietnamese readers books rich in humanistic value.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of NXBGDVN assessed this as not only a publishing event, but also the result of the strong connection between the two cultures, two countries of Vietnam and Chile, through a special bridge - children's literature.

Bringing this collection closer to Vietnamese readers, especially children, not only helps them access a cultural treasure trove rich in identity, but also opens up opportunities to explore, sympathize and develop thinking through simple yet profound stories.
Also at the event, Mr. Sergio Narea - Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam highly appreciated the cooperation efforts between the two sides and congratulated the completion of the translations of the next two books in the series.

"Today's event is a truly historic milestone in cultural exchange cooperation between Vietnam and Chile" - Mr. Sergio Narea expressed.
Papelucho consists of 12 volumes, telling everyday stories from the innocent and subtle perspective of an 8-year-old Chilean boy - rich in imagination, humor, mischief but profound and emotional. He recorded all his thoughts, experiences and secrets in a diary, thereby forming a classic children's literary work, loved in Chile and many other countries.
Author Marcela Paz has created a character who is not ideal but sincere like many everyday children - knows how to be angry, knows how to criticize, but always longs to be loved and understood. Papelucho's special feature is the form of diary - close, easy to read, inspiring children to write their own stories.
With a lively, natural and unimposing writing style, Papelucho has made many readers exclaim:
"I felt like I was reading the diary of a real kid." The series promises to open up a close world, where childhood is respected, and at the same time become an inspiring companion for Vietnamese children.
