Founded in 2005 in the context of a new international education system in Vietnam, SNA is one of the pioneering schools that steadfastly pursues a comprehensive international training model. 20 years later, SNA Nam Sai Gon became one of the three schools in Ho Chi Minh City to meet IB Full- participatory standards, which means fully teaching all 3 international talent programs: PYP, myP and DP (from primary to high school). This can only be done by units with a solid foundation in academics, teaching staff and educational philosophy.
Two decades of nurturing global citizens
On the 20-year development journey, North American International School - SNA South Saigon has marked with a series of important milestones. In 2018, the school officially converted from the Common Core program (USA) to the IB International Talent system and became a candidate of IB World School. Just three years later, from 2019 to 2022, SNA was recognized as a school authorized to teach all three programs IB DP, IB myP and IB PYP, marking a big step forward to become a comprehensive IB school.
Not stopping there, in 2020, SNA became an official member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), affirming academic quality and operating system according to international standards. By 2024, the school will continue to be re-recognized by the WASC until 2027, a clear demonstration of SNA's solid reputation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Not only stopping at academics, SNA students also shine in international playgrounds. In 2024, the SNA student team excellently won many medals at the World Scholars Cup tournament, officially winning a ticket to the finals at Yale University (USA).
In the field of sports, SNA's football, basketball, swimming and badminton teams continuously brought home many gold and silver medals at the SISAC regional tournament. In particular, the school's Tee-Ball team, the first team in Vietnam, represented the Asian Open Tee-ball tournament in Japan, contributing to marking a pioneering step in physical education at primary school.
