Son La spends 8.5 billion VND to repair district hospitals and boarding schools

Son La The Provincial People's Committee has just approved an investment project to repair and maintain important facilities in the fields of health and education, with a total cost of 8.5 billion VND.

On April 20, according to information from the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province, the Provincial People's Committee approved the contractor selection plan for the project to repair and maintain regular facilities at the 3-storey general surgery department and some other items of Song Ma District General Hospital.

The total value of the packages is up to more than 3.69 billion VND. Of which, the construction package is worth more than 3.41 billion VND, the rest is the consulting, supervision, auditing and construction insurance packages.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee also approved the project to repair and maintain a 2-storey student dormitory with 20 rooms, a 2-storey subject classroom with 6 rooms and other auxiliary items of Muong La District Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities.

The project has a total investment of 4.8 billion VND, aiming to renovate the degraded infrastructure system, ensuring living and learning conditions for students in mountainous areas.

According to the People's Committee of Son La province, both projects use provincial budget capital and are required to be implemented in 2025.

The investment in upgrading hospitals and schools is part of the plan to strengthen medical and educational infrastructure in disadvantaged districts, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and education in remote areas.
