Ba Ria - Vung Tau University has a new principal

Ho Chi Minh City - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Hoang was appointed as Rector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University (BVU).

On December 29th, Ba Ria - Vung Tau University (abbreviated as BVU, Ho Chi Minh City) held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint the school's principal. Accordingly, the BVU Council awarded the decision to appoint Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Hoang to hold the position of Principal of BVU.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Hoang graduated with a degree in Automation Design from Dresden Technical University (Germany). After that, he continued to complete his PhD program in Bridge and Road Construction at Saitama University (Japan). In 2007, he was recognized by the State Professorship Council as meeting the standards for Associate Professor.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoang used to hold leadership positions at many universities such as Hong Bang International University, Gia Dinh University, Mien Dong University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.

Speaking to receive the assignment, the new Principal affirmed that he will continue to build BVU to develop in the direction of quality - integration - practical connection, taking learners as the center and making practical contributions to the development of high-quality human resources in the region and the whole country.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau University (BVU) was established on January 27, 2006, and is the only university in the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau). In nearly 20 years of construction and growth, BVU has innovated its training program, improved the quality of teaching - research and expanded cooperation to contribute to creating a dynamic and practical learning environment for students.

The school is focusing on developing key training majors such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Tourism, Foreign Languages and Marine Economy to maximize local advantages, aiming to become a training, research and technology transfer address with high quality, making positive contributions to the development of the region and the country.
