Meritorious teacher Nguyen Thi Kieu Hoa - Party Cell Secretary, Principal of the school presented a commemorative speech, saying: More than 40 years ago, to meet the development needs, provide human resources for the country's innovation, with the purpose of "training a team of young, healthy cadres with high cultural, scientific and technical qualifications of each ethnic group", on December 4, 1982, "Nghe Tinh Ethnic Minority Youth School" was established, the predecessor of the current Nghe An Ethnic Minority Boarding High School.
With a 40-year tradition of building and growing, from this school, generations of "both red and expert" of the school have been making meaningful contributions to the construction, development and integration of the homeland and country.
In recent years, Nghe An Ethnic Minority High School has made great strides in improving the quality of comprehensive education. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school's average high school graduation score ranked 4th in the province, contributing positively to the overall achievements of Nghe An's education sector.
The spearhead quality has achieved excellent results, many students have won high prizes in the Provincial 12th Grade Excellent Student Competition, the Provincial Science and Technology Competition, the TIMO Math Competition and other international Science and Technology competitions.
In 2019, the school was selected by the Provincial People's Committee as one of 5 high schools to pilot the construction of high-quality key schools in Nghe An province, period 2019 - 2023.
Many teachers, cadres and employees have been honored by the Party and the State, 2 management officials were awarded the title of Excellent Teacher by the President, many teachers were awarded the title of Outstanding Nghe An Teacher, awarded the Education Talent Development Fund and many Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit, and titles of Emulation Fighters at all levels.
In recognition of its outstanding achievements and great contributions, the school was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal twice (1994, 2023), the Second Class Labor Medal (1999) and the First Class Labor Medal (2004) from the President.
During the Celebration, Nghe An Ethnic Minority High School was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal.
This is a noble award from the Party and State in recognition of the great contributions of generations of cadres, teachers and students of the school during 40 years of striving to build and develop.
