95 years ago, in a small house in Thong Phong alley (Hanoi), leader Nguyen Duc Canh and his comrades published a newspaper called Lao Dong - the mouthpiece of the Red General Assembly, Now the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Right from the beginning, Lao Dong Newspaper has affirmed its character as the newspaper of the Party, the Trade Union, and the newspaper of the working class and workers.

The Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper affirmed that, whether during the war years or the period of the country's reform, especially the period of deep integration with the world, Lao Dong Newspaper has always been at the forefront of propagandizing policies, the Party's policies and the State's legal policies; is the voice of the working class and tens of millions of union members and workers nationwide, contributing to encouraging the patriotic emulation movement. Not only that, Lao Dong is always the number one newspaper in protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of workers.

In the era of Industry 4.0, in addition to regularly publishing printed issues, the electronic Lao Dong Newspaper has millions of visits every day; Multimedia communication has been promoted, creating many new, modern and effective communication methods for union members, workers, and domestic and international readers. This has affirmed the newspaper's stature in the overall development of the country; contributing to positioning the position of Vietnamese trade unions in the political and social system.

Over the past 95 years, Labor has achieved very proud milestones: once awarded the title Hero of Labor, 2 First Class Independence Medals; 3 times awarded the First Class Labor Medal; Many certificates of merit from ministries, branches, provinces and cities, hundreds of domestic and international journalism awards. Lao Dong Newspaper also receives love and trust from readers; The trust and companionship of many agencies, units, businesses...

According to comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hien, to achieve these achievements, in addition to the efforts of many generations of officials, reporters, and workers, the Newspaper also received the attention of Party and State leaders, especially the the attention and direction of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association and leaders of other ministries and branches.
