On October 1, Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. held a conference to summarize 7 years of implementing the agroforestry project according to Decree 168 of the Government.
The company is managing about 27,000 hectares of land and forest. Of which, the forested land area is about 23,700 hectares. This is the forestry company with the largest forest area in Dak Nong province at present.

The report at the conference showed that after 7 years of implementing the agroforestry project according to Decree 168 of the Government, the company has implemented 14 afforestation projects and developed agricultural and forestry production with a total cost of 7.2 billion VND.
The crops in the project mainly include rubber, cashew and fruit trees, with a total area of 708 hectares.

The project applies the form of forest land allocation and links with 280 households and a local organization to manage, protect and develop forests. Among them, many households are M'nong ethnic people.
Households participating in the project are allocated land for cultivation and benefit from planting, caring for and harvesting long-term industrial crops to contribute to increasing income.
The project has also helped stabilize security and order, creating conditions for people to develop a sustainable economy.
At the conference, the contracted households gave many opinions about supporting farming techniques, providing fertilizers and seedlings... to improve the efficiency of agroforestry projects.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Vice Chairman of Tuy Duc District People's Committee (Dak Nong), highly appreciated the results achieved by agroforestry projects with local people.

According to Mr. Anh, the above projects not only create income for people but also actively contribute to the management, protection and development of forests in the locality.
