The free convoy of 20 45-seat cars will depart from two directions: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and travel to 30 provinces and cities nationwide. The last bus will complete its journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Binh at exactly 7:00 a.m. on the 27th of Tet, just in time for passengers to reunite with their families.
Of the 900 passengers on the Happy Bus, the majority are workers working in industrial parks and export processing zones in the city; students studying at universities and colleges; freelancers; job seekers... More than 40% of the passengers are families of 2-3 members or more, including many children accompanying their parents back to their hometowns for Tet.
In its 3 years of operation, the Happy Bus program has transported nearly 3,000 people from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to their hometowns for Tet for free. This year's program is even more meaningful because it is organized on the basis of community and social activities Co.op Cares.
In addition to supporting all travel expenses, Happy Car prioritizes the safety and health of passengers, drivers, flight attendants, and logistics staff. The drivers are experienced and steady, and each car has 2 drivers taking turns driving to ensure passenger safety and travel time. During the journey, passengers are served free meals and drinks.
