22 years without holidays
Mr. Huynh No, over 50 years old, has been working as an environmental worker in Da Nang for 22 years. That was also the year Mr. No had never had a complete April 30 - May holiday. While everyone is enjoying their vacations and family gatherings, Mr. No is still working hard on the streets, collecting garbage, keeping the city clean and beautiful.
The work was hard, had to be exposed to the sun and rain, exposed to dust and pollution, but he never felt discouraged or wanted to give up. On the contrary, he is always proud of his work.
He shared: I find my work very meaningful. Seeing the streets clean and airy, I feel very happy and joyful. I know it is hard, but thinking about contributing my small part to make everyone have a comfortable vacation gives me more motivation.
Not only on the holidays of April 30 - May 1, but also on traditional Tet holidays, Mr. No is on duty on the assigned street. For him, maintaining environmental hygiene for the city has become an indispensable part of life. He understood that without people like him working, the city would be flooded with waste, affecting the health and lives of the people.
Therefore, despite having to sacrifice his time with his family, Mr. No is always dedicated to his work, with the desire to bring a clean and beautiful living environment to the community. He added that his family is very supportive and understands his work, which is also a great source of encouragement to help him stay in the profession.

Happy when the city is clean and beautiful
In 24 years as an environmental worker in Da Nang, Ms. Chau has never had a 30.4 - 1.5 holiday with her family. For many years, she was used to waking up early, wandering around the streets, collecting garbage to restore the city's cleanliness before dawn.
Ms. Chau shared: "During this April 30 holiday, I started work earlier than usual. Today my shift started at 5:30 and ended at 2:30 p.m. Every time I see the city clean and beautiful, my heart feels very relieved and happy".
According to Ms. Chau, on holidays, the amount of waste often increases compared to normal days, so the work is also more difficult. For her, contributing her small efforts to maintain environmental hygiene for the city is a source of pride.
Ms. Chau also said that when working on the day off, environmental workers all received a small gift of encouragement from the company. Along with that are the times when people give water and encourage the workers. Those small things have motivated her to continue to stick with the job, despite the difficulties and hardships.
Ms. Chau confided that her children all understand and love their mother, they are always proud of her work, that is the greatest source of encouragement to help her overcome all difficulties. For her, keeping the city clean and beautiful is not only a responsibility, but also a love, a silent dedication to the community.
