Can Tho - The Can Tho University Traditional Arts Festival closed emotionally, spreading the cultural and artistic movement among students and lecturers.

On the evening of May 23, the Can Tho University Traditional Arts Festival 2026 closed with an emotional performance, summary and award ceremony at the Turtle Hall.

The annual festival is held at Can Tho University, considered a familiar musical exchange space for hundreds of Western students. This year's event contributes to spreading a youthful, vibrant and rich atmosphere of national cultural identity; celebrating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026).

This year's festival attracted hundreds of contestants from many units such as the University of Agriculture, Faculty of Political Science, Social Sciences and Humanities, Fisheries School, Faculty of Law, School of Information Technology and Communications,...

Right from the first nights of competition, the audience was treated to a elaborate and diverse art feast, with smooth Southern folk songs, folk dances of brotherly ethnic groups to heroic epics recreating the length of the history of building and defending the country.

Student Do Nhat Duy (Faculty of Law, Can Tho University) shared: "Sitting in the audience seats, watching my friends perform on stage, I know they had to sacrifice a whole month of hard work in the rehearsal room amidst the pressure of homework. Witnessing my peers wearing traditional costumes, using youthful enthusiasm and music to recreate the heroic page of history, I myself am very touched".

In fact, to have perfect moments of sublimation on stage, many students and lecturers have to balance professional work and practice.

Student Tran Le Ngoc Huyen (member of the Foreign Language Faculty exam team, Can Tho University) shared: "My unit almost eats and sleeps in the same gym, spending even summer vacation time. When wearing traditional costumes and using music to retell the heroic story of our ancestors together, I and my friends seem to feel that all the efforts put in are completely worthwhile

Mr. Truong Hoang Ninh (Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Agriculture, Can Tho) shared: "More than the results, we feel happy to dedicate ourselves to the festival, bringing attractive performances to serve the audience.

This year, the overall first prize belonged to the Faculty of Law. The second prize was also awarded to the Faculty of Political Science, Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Agriculture.

Many outstanding individual and collective awards were also awarded by the Organizing Committee to recognize the efforts, creativity and dedication of the competing teams throughout the festival.

Not only is it a meaningful cultural and artistic playground, the 2026 Can Tho University Traditional Arts Festival also contributes to spreading the enthusiasm, dynamism and rich identity of students, officials and employees.
