Dak Mil District, the coffee capital of Dak Nong. Currently, this locality is entering the peak of the dry season. The water level in the reservoirs has decreased sharply, affecting many areas of crops.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dak Mil district, some areas such as Long Son commune and Dak Lao have begun to lack water.
A survey shows that Doi 35 and 40 lakes (Dak Lao commune) only have about 20% of their capacity. Some sections and branches of Dak So stream are also depleted, affecting the irrigation of people in Dong Son and Tay Son villages (Long Son commune).
In this situation, the functional sector of Dak Mil district is coordinating with the unit to exploit irrigation works to regulate water from Doi 1 Lake to Lake 40 to serve the second and third irrigation for the people of Dak Lao commune.
