Following the success of the "First Hai Duong Province Cultural Heritage Connection Journey" held in the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival in 2024, the "Con Son - Kiep Bac - Cultural Heritage Connection Journey in 2025" Marathon was opened on a larger scale, with higher professional quality, attracting the participation of a record number - nearly 2,000 professional and amateur athletes across the country.
Right after the opening ceremony, athletes competed for distances of 5 and 10 km with a running route around Con Son Lake. Athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh of Hai Duong participated in the tournament for the first time and successfully completed the 10 km distance in just 37 minutes.
According to athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh, although she is an athlete with many achievements, when participating in the tournament, she also finds it quite difficult because there are many other athletes who are healthy and fit.
The Marathon "Con Son - Kiep Bac - Journey connecting cultural heritage in 2025" is a meaningful cultural, sports and tourism event, part of the series of activities of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival in 2025; contributing to promoting and introducing beautiful natural landscapes, rich and diverse cuisine and unique traditional cultural values along with the friendliness and hospitality of Hai Duong people to a large number of domestic and international tourists.
