On the morning of November 28, the Association of the Elderly of 6 provinces and cities including Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan coordinated with HelpAge International (HAI) to hold a meeting to summarize the Project "Reducing income and health vulnerabilities of the elderly in Vietnam".
The project aims to increase the participation of older people in income-generating activities and access to community-based health and social care services. The project is implemented in selected communities in 6 provinces and cities, aiming to build practical and sustainable support models for the elderly.

In Da Nang, the project helps the city expand 30 more clubs as model clubs, bringing direct benefits to at least 3,500 people; most of whom are elderly people and people in difficult circumstances.
In addition, the Project contributes to the effective implementation of Plan No. 811/KH-UBND of the City People's Committee dated March 11, 2021 on approving the Plan to implement the Project to replicate the Intergenerational Self-Help Club model for the period up to 2025, and Plan No. 53/KH-UBND of the City People's Committee dated March 23, 2022 on approving the Plan to implement the National Action Program on the Elderly in Da Nang City for the period 2022-2030.
