On February 1, Mr. Hoang Son Tra, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tra District, Da Nang City, sent out a letter calling for donations of ornamental plants discarded after Tet to plant and green the walking gardens and parks in the district.
The letter reads: After the Lunar New Year, hundreds of kumquat trees are no longer used, causing waste and impact on the environment. In order to take advantage of the value of these kumquat trees, the Son Tra District Youth Union has launched the program "Donating Kumquat Trees to Green the Walking Garden".
The program calls on families, agencies, and units in the district to join hands in donating kumquat trees that are still able to grow. These kumquat trees will be cared for and reused to plant in public gardens, contributing to creating green space and improving the living environment for the community.
Each donated kumquat tree is a meaningful action, showing concern for the environment and sustainable development of Son Tra district. The District Youth Union hopes to receive support and companionship from all people.
Time to receive kumquat trees from February 4, 2025 to February 11, 2025 at the Youth Union of 6 wards.
