This year, the film festival took place at the Galaxy Nguyen Du Cinema Complex (HCMC). Of the 6 films released, Vermiglio by director Maura Delpero is the most notable because it is a work competing for the 2025 Oscar. The film depicts the pain and war memories of women in the Italian mountainous region after World War II. The work also plays an opening role for a series of screening activities.

The framework of the 2025 Italian Film Festival also has 5 outstanding works selected including: "Diciannove", "La Vita Accanto", " Nonostante", "Hey Joe" and "Gloria!". These are all films that have won many prestigious awards at international festivals and received high praise from experts.
Art director Antonio Termenini said that this year's films combine personal experiences and the breath of the times, while bringing new perspectives of contemporary Italy. In addition to enjoying cinema, after each screening, the audience also has a part to interact and discuss to feel more deeply about each work.
In 2020, the first Italian Film Festival was held in Ho Chi Minh City. Since then, this annual event has increasingly affirmed its position as a familiar cultural destination, contributing to spreading the creative spirit of Italian cinema to the Vietnamese public.
