As a familiar face at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival, director Victor Vu shared that this was the third time he attended and clearly felt the development of this film event over the years.
"Every year, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival develops more and more and becomes a connection with world cinema. The atmosphere and spirit of this festival are becoming more and more international," director Victor Vu shared.
Victor Vu was especially impressed with the way the organizing committee invited many big names in the international film industry to Vietnam to interact and connect with domestic audiences and professional groups. He called it "a very wonderful thing" and affirmed his pride in accompanying the Da Nang Asian Film Festival for three consecutive seasons.
I think this is one of the most prominent Film Festivals in Vietnam today, the director added.
With the film "Detective Kien: Ky an khong khong" competing this year, Victor Vu believes that in order to create an impression on the international public, in addition to attractive and artistic content, an important factor is the widespread release strategy.
Right after its release in Vietnam, Investigator Kien was released in more than 20 countries, as an effort to bring Vietnamese films to global audiences. He also expressed his hope to continue accompanying the Film Festival in the coming years if there is a suitable work.
Sharing the same excitement, actress Dinh Ngoc Diep - Victor Vu's wife - said that she felt lucky to have accompanied the Da Nang Asian Film Festival since the first seasons.
This year, for me, the Film Festival is like a festival that I have always believed in. In particular, this year, the film that my wife and I produced, directed and acted in together is being shown at the film festival, which makes me very happy and joyful to be a part of this event," actor Dinh Ngoc Diep expressed.
