At one of the medical facilities, Angelina Jolie visited children who were victims of missile attacks on the Kramatorsk train station during the Ukrainian war. "The actress was very touched by their story. A girl even told Jolie about her dream," CNN quoted Kozytskyy as saying.
Angelina Jolie also visited a boarding school in Lviv - a city that has become a destination for displaced people, humanitarian aid and weapons. She told the children that she would return, Kozytskyy added.
At Lviv's main train station, where Ukrainians visit regularly, the Hollywood actress spoke with volunteers who participated in medical and psychological support.
"She thanks them for their work. She has spoken to people who have to leave areas with combat operations," the source said.
Angelina Jolie is a special UN special destination for refugees, but Joung-ah Ghedini-Williams - the global communications director for the United Nations High Commission for refugees (UNHCR) said the American actress arrived in the region as an individual and UNHCR did not participate in this visit.
Previously, on April 30, Angelina Jolie was photographed appearing at a coffee shop in Lviv.
