The film has a star cast including: Gin Tuan Kiet, Vo Canh, Vo Tan Phat, Tam Trieu Dang, artist Ngan Quynh, artist Thanh Chien, artist Thanh Tung.
Director Nguyen Minh Chung, the man behind the success of the 2022 Mai Vang Award-winning film - Mother's Dream and famous blockbusters Kaleidoscope, Vietnamese Fairy Tales... is in charge of this project.
Belonging to the musical comedy genre, the film "Tu Hai Phat Tai" (director: Nguyen Minh Chung, screenwriter: VieON) tells the story of the year-end days of a once-famous singing troupe in a region.
Before the new year, the whole troupe struggled with the worry of “making ends meet” and had no shows. Difficulties piled up when the troupe leader suddenly retired, leaving the position to his son Thanh An - who knew nothing about variety shows.
Director Nguyen Minh Chung shared: "Tu Hai Phat Tai" is expected to film for about 15 days for all 6 episodes.
"Tu Hai Phat Tai" is a humorous and profound comedy that brings joy to everyone. This is my first time making a short film, so I will put all my effort into it."
After filming the show Anh trai say hi, Gin Tuan Kiet excitedly said: “A few days ago, I was still an older brother. Now, I have switched to acting. I love both singing and acting, doing both jobs at the same time, I feel very happy”.
Vo Tan Phat is also an attractive factor in the film. He shared: "The films I participated in are all "strange people and strange generals" (meaning all the names are funny and humorous). But in "Tu Hai Phat Tai", the actors are all male gods like Vo Canh, Gin Tuan Kiet, Lam Kinh Ton".
The movie will be released on Tet holiday in 2025.
