With the song "Lung Po - The Border Police", he completely conquered the judges and the audience. This is the second consecutive time Duong Duc has won this prestigious award, after his success at the 2024 festival, affirming his position as a young, mature studio singer from the Sao Mai 2022 awards.
The 2025 National Music Festival with the theme "Music convergence and spread" brings together more than 600 musicians and artists from 38 branches of the Vietnam Musicians' Association, with 185 performances participating. Among the 15 gold medals awarded, Duong Duc's performance stood out as a heroic sound painting. "Lung Po - Border epic" is likened to a "sure of sovereignty in music", humanitizing Lung Po Flag Tower (Lao Cai) into an indomitable border guard.
This success marks the second consecutive collaboration between singer Duong Duc and musician Vu Duc Tan (Lecturer at the Military University of Culture and Arts). Musician Duc Tan was the author of two gold medal-winning compositions: "Proud of Uncle Ho's Soldiers" (2024) and "Lung Po - The Border Heroic Song" (2025).
Musician Duc Tan shared that Duong Duc's lyrical phong nghe is very suitable for his heroic and tragic compositions.

Although he only had 1 and a half months to prepare, singer Duong Duc focused 100% on the work, from the arrangement to the detailed practice. He confided: "When I sing those proud and thrilling lyrics, I sing no longer to win awards but to sing with the heart of the soldiers standing on the border... When I sing Lung Po, I feel like standing in the middle of the river crossing, listening to the wind of the Buddhist movement flying the national flag".
Graduated from the Military University of Culture and Arts, Captain, singer Duong Duc also composed many popular songs such as "Nuoc chan chien thang" and "Cau ho dan quan". He also cleverly "breathed the soul" of classic revolutionary music works by covering them with gh gh gheras, helping songs like "Dat Nuoc Phuong Phuoc Phuoc" and "Vat Ban Hoan Thuong Tren Cat" become more youthful, closer to young audiences but still retain the spirit of national pride.
Duong Duc expressed that the Gold Medal is a great motivation for him to continue to contribute and serve in the army. He hopes that the song "Lung Po - Border Heroic Song" will be widely spread, resounding in schools and forced laborers, to propagate the spirit of solidarity to protect the border, helping the younger generation understand that "defending the Fatherland is not only holding guns, but also holding microphones, holding pens... to build the homeland".
