Sharing with MC Minh Ngoc, singer Quach Thanh Danh said that 20 years ago, when he had the opportunity to tour abroad, he decided to buy a suitcase worth 2,000 USD. Notably, the suitcase has three letters "QTD" engraved on it - abbreviated as his/her own name, as a personal trademark.
Looking back on his artistic journey, Quach Thanh Danh admitted that he initially pursued young music and was quickly accepted by the audience. However, behind that excitement is an introverted soul, which has a lot of affection for traditional, lyrical music.
A big turning point was until he was invited by the late artist Phi Nhung to sing a duet of lyrical music. The couple was quickly loved through a series of repertoire such as "rather than black and white", "Where the hair of the loved one", once performed at the bronze drum stage, received warm cheers.
The male singer said that he always appreciates studying lyrics and melodies before performing to create depth of emotions. Thanks to the process of learning vocal music using the Northern pronunciation method, he can flexibly perform songs in both Southern and Northern voices, helping to conquer many audiences in different regions.
Sharing his views on contemporary music, Quach Thanh Danh expressed his admiration for the current generation of young artists: I am really impressed with the 20-year-old youth who have been able to compose profound songs, with both strange and good lyrics. Music does not discriminate between age or stage as long as it can touch the emotions of listeners.
