Thuy Hien feels like a strong person after persistently fighting depression. In addition to her family, relatives, and friends, the female athlete thanks herself for not giving up, finding a lifebuoy in her children to overcome.
She was the one who realized she had signs of depression because she felt like no one was listening to her, lost and couldn't figure out why she didn't want to go out or meet people.
Thuy Hien considers the mood of a depressed person to be the most terrible because of negativity, not wanting to exist with trivial things to the point of absurdity.
Thuy Hien even denied that she had any problems because her life was still peaceful and successful. The athlete was lucky to realize the problem and seek treatment from experts. Her mother and sister spent a lot of time accompanying her through this period.
Thuy Hien recalls the period when she often called her sister Thuy Vinh to confide and cry. She is grateful that her relatives can listen to the same story over and over again to help her gradually improve her mood.
“My motivation is my children. When I competed and trained abroad when I was young, my parents divorced, so I was left alone to make my own decisions in life.
Those are sad images because there is no one by my side, I feel lonely, have many questions and don't know who to ask. I think my children will be the same if I let go.
I am not sure about my children's life without their mother like I did when I was young. Whenever I feel negative, I always think of my children.
The children's father also has a new family, if he lives with them, he will be confused because he is used to living with his mother, so I tell myself not to let go. The children are still young, need love and education. It is this insecurity that holds me back to try" - the Wushu queen confided about her motivation to overcome depression.
She hopes her story can inspire young people who are facing similar problems. Thuy Hien hopes that everyone can understand their own problems, hold on to the positive things to not give up, and learn the lesson of listening to themselves.
