With a cast from both the North and the South, the film "Stolen Happiness" is predicted to be one of the long-running family films that will resonate in the second half of 2024.
However, the dubbing received mixed reactions from the audience. Some opinions said that the dubbing of the roles of the two young actors Quynh Luong and Bich Ngoc was good, but the other actors were not as good.
Accordingly, other feedback found that dubbing familiar TV faces such as People's Artist Lan Huong, Ngoc Lan, Hong Anh... somewhat reduced the genuine emotions.
Although having a team of professional voice actors, they still cannot convey all the nuances of the character's voice and emotions, and the audience cannot feel the liveliness that the actors bring.
Sharing the reason for dubbing the characters, the voice director of Song Minh Movie said: "Young actors like Quynh Luong, Dung Bino, Bich Ngoc, Nham Phuong Nam act well but their voices are difficult to record.
The setting is in Da Lat, the weather is cold so even the voices of good actors like Hong Anh and Ngoc Lan are hoarse and dull due to constant sore throats. Many incidents forced us to stop filming, People's Artist Lan Huong had a hoarse throat for 10 days. In addition, the supporting cast is also from many regions specific to the Central region, so it will be difficult to synchronize, leading to dubbing.
“If we record the sound live, the time required will double. There are days when we have to film more than ten scenes, memorizing the lines from beginning to end. There are very long scenes, only 30 minutes or 1 hour to film,” Quynh Luong shared.
The movie "Stolen Happiness" airs at 6:50 p.m. every Friday to Sunday on VTV9 channel.
