Participating in the program, singer and musician Sy Luan shared for the first time about the memories associated with his artistic journey, along with the responsibility towards the community that has followed him for many years.
In the conversation, Sy Luan emotionally recounted the memories associated with the post-COVID-19 period, when he and a number of businessmen established a fund to support children orphaned by the pandemic. As Head of the Department of Arts, he maintains strong connection activities and follows the maturity of the students every year. He shared: "There were children who were only 18 months old at that time, now they know, know how to speak and call everyone their father and mother. That is the greatest happiness".
The song "Love Heart" marks an important change in Sy Luan's compositional thinking. He said that the song was written for souls who know how to share and sympathize; at the same time, it comes from the concept of family as the foundation of love. From there, he hopes to become a support for children in the home with music and practical actions, helping them clearly feel the warmth of humanity.
Talking about the difference between love composition and community composition, Sy Luan said that love music is often based on borrowed emotions, while emotions for the community come from real experiences, cannot be fake. Since becoming a father, his emotions have been more dependent on protection, so his compositions for the community have become more realistic and larger.
With the view that music must be supportive, he proactively avoids negative songs, because according to him, music can soothe or make people weak. I want to bring small things but full of love, truly useful to life, he shared.
At the end of the program, Sy Luan advised young artists: music is always changing, and only sustainable values can help artists go the long way. Choosing a positive direction is the way to keep music longer.
