From a humorous perspective combined with horror elements, the film depicts the tearful and laughaiful journey of the couple played by Huynh Phuong and Phuong Lan - young people facing the consequences of sudden love.
The image of Huynh Phuong being held by "mistress" Phuong Lan in the mistaken image of a "pregnant ghost" both made the audience laugh and suggested a series of ironic situations.
The teaser trailer reveals the story of a "bad guy" (Huynh Phuong) panicking when his girlfriend (Phuong Lan) suddenly announced that she was pregnant. Instead of taking responsibility, he chose to run away with his best friend (Anh Tu) and rent a room in an abandoned house in the countryside. From here, strange phenomena occurred continuously: noises in the middle of the night, ghosts appeared, and a series of strange events forced him to face the "adversity" created by himself.
The combination of horror and comedy elements helps the Hac D room create its own style compared to Vietnamese films of the same genre. The trio Huynh Phuong - Phuong Lan - Anh Tu brought an interesting contrast: a "destroyed man" afraid of responsibility, a strong girl daring to face the truth, and a carefree " Foolish" friend amid the incident. The collaboration between Huynh Phuong and Anh Tu is considered a highlight, reminiscent of the typical buddy-comedy style of Korean cinema.
