On the evening of January 3, the official trailer of "House of Ancestors" aired on online platforms.
Director Huynh Lap revealed that when he started looking for the main actress of "The Ancestor's House", Phuong My Chi was not the first name Huynh Lap thought of: "At first, I thought of Uyen An, Kaity Nguyen, but did not look for Phuong My Chi. But after Ly Minh Thang read the script, he introduced Phuong My Chi because he had once cast Chi for a role in his own project."
Regarding why he did not join the Tet movie race because "House of Ancestors" belongs to the family and comedy genres and is also suitable for many audiences, Huynh Lap responded: "Initially, I planned to release the movie in December, but the movie needed to do too many special effects so it could not be released in time, it had to be completed after Tet. I also think that few audiences go to the cinema on the first day of Tet to watch a movie with ghosts, it is a bit sensitive. After Tet will be a more suitable time for "House of Ancestors".
"Ancestral House" is expected to be released in theaters nationwide from February 21, 2025.
