On December 19, in Can Tho City, a press conference was held to announce the crown and national cultural costumes of the 2024 Miss Mekong Delta Contest.
At the press conference, the top 30 contestants of the 2024 Miss Mekong Delta Pageant made their debut in pure white outfits, demonstrating their catwalk skills and calling out their names on stage. The organizing committee announced the crowns and national cultural costumes that will be performed at the upcoming Final Night.
The crown of Miss Mekong Delta 2024 is called "Ngoc tam sen" (Lotus Heart Pearl) inspired by lotus and pearl, designed by author Dang Vu Phuong.
The central motif of the crown is a blooming lotus, like an open book of knowledge. The work evokes the beauty of women in the Mekong Delta, not only graceful, elegant, hard-working, but also possessing knowledge, constantly reaching for dreams and exploring new horizons.
The Organizing Committee also announced 10 national cultural costumes performed by the top 10 contestants in the Final night, including: Com nong, Bun nuoc leo, Mat ong hoa tram, Hong vi Lai Vung, Nhan da tu, Em it la gai, Banh tet la cam, Ngoc Viet huong Nam, Muoi, Huong vi Vinh Long.
Sharing at the press conference, Mr. Ngo Anh Minh - Director of Viet News Media and Entertainment Company, representative of the Organizing Committee - said that throughout the contest, the contestants spent time practicing fashion shows, taking photos to introduce the beauty of the Mekong Delta, especially the images of traditional craft villages; thereby helping to spread the cultural and tourism beauty of the Mekong Delta closer to everyone.
After the crown announcement, in the afternoon of the same day, the top 30 contestants continued to compete in two important competitions: Talented Beauty and Kindness Beauty. The contestants presented about the charity project that they had practical experience with in life.
The winner of the Beauty with a Heart contest will receive the privilege of going straight to the top 5 of the final night of the Miss Mekong Delta 2024 contest, taking place on the evening of December 21 in Can Tho City.
